Thanksgiving Day Service

Start Thanksgiving morning with a family-friendly joyous celebration of gratitude for God’s goodness!

You, your family, and friends are invited to attend a one-hour church service on Thursday, November 22, 2018 at 10:30 am at First Church of Christ, Scientist, 29 Church Street, Doylestown.  Childcare is provided for children too young to attend the service.  No collection will be taken and free parking is available.

When Mary Baker Eddy, the founder of Christian Science and the international, Pulitzer Prize-winning newspaper The Christian Science Monitor, first established church services she included a special service for Thanksgiving Day.  She felt that gratitude was vital and could have a healing effect.

This service features hymns of inspiration and praise sung by the congregation, a solo and an inspiring lesson-sermon read from the King James Version of the Bible and from Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy.  In addition, there is an opportunity for the congregation to give spontaneous testimonies of gratitude for blessings received.

We would love to have you – the community – join us for this special hour of Thanksgiving!
